A Lion Without Courage

The lion is the king of the jungle. It is not the strongest or even the smartest, but it is identified as the king of the jungle because it is courageous. The lion believes that he can do anything and his every movement is engulfed in this belief. Fear is not an option for the lion.

We, as the children of God, should have that same courageous attitude, but instead we seem to be fearful of almost everything. We are afraid to try new things, meet different people, afraid to love and to step out of our comfort zone. We are fearful to totally trust God.

Men, did you allow your future wife to get away because you didn’t have the courage to pursue her? My sisters, how many career opportunities did you let slip through your fingers, because you were not confident in your abilities? God has put so many wonderful talents and ideas inside of you, but you have to be courageous so that you can explore the endless possibilities in your life.

When I started my theater ministry I was fearful. I was stepping into a territory that I had never been in before, but I knew that I had to at least try. I couldn’t let my uncertainties stop me from trying different things and living out my destiny. And while the struggle has been real (lol), God has blessed me so much. I am growing.

Fear will come. However the word of God in 2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Courage is the ability to do what you want, to go after what you want, in spite of fear. I encourage you to follow your dreams...never settle! Get all that God has for you! YOU ARE A LION!!!
